We celebrated my 60th with a dinner party at the pub in the restaurant. Close family and friends – 24 of us. I was bowled over by it all – family came from Holland and various areas of the UK and friends from all over the place. We’d planned a nice menu and a few weeks before decided that the pre dinner canapés could be extended to include lots of local friends from the village who weren’t at the dinner. We all had a wonderful time! Sally and I decorated the tables and I came up with a little activity for during the meal – origami animals. The winner (judged by our neighbour Alison) was presented with a box of chocs. The winner was our friend Liz!
I was spoilt rotten! For example -my lovely artist friend did me a portrait of Rosie, another friend crocheted a shawl for me. My gift from Hector is a stunning garden water feature that I first fell in love with in Norfolk in 2016! The ceramic artist has made it and it is due to arrive soon!
