Cumbria is swathed in cloud bandages after ten terrible days of floods and tragedy

That’s the Eden Valley under all that cloud. Amazing conditions below Hartside. The thick clouds below were forming ribbon streamers that moved up at the fells edge and drifted past us into the blue sky. It was eerie and beautiful. Like a man I met up there said "There isn’t much that’s beautiful these days – but this is!".
